THE SOUND OF BLUE
Have you heard the sound of blue?
The sound of ocean waves crashing on the rocks,
Stars twinkling in the night sky
Or the sound of a bluebird’s triumphant cry?
Then you have heard the sound of blue.

Blue butterfly wings batting in the flowers
Blue wildflowers whispering among themselves
A solitary robin’s egg, lonely in its nest
Or a waterfall’s rainbow mist glimmering in the blue summer sky?
These are the sound of blue.

Violets waving in the wind
Grey clouds in a cobalt sky,
The sound of a blue jay’s mighty cry?
